Helping women of Payne County touched by breast cancer

DREAMS & VISIONS

Like any non-profit organization, we have dreams and visions of what we would like to see DORCAS Project, Inc. be able to offer to the women who are affected by cancer to better serve their needs during a difficult season. It's been our experience that sometimes dreams never materialize because they're never expressed; so with that knowledge, here is our list of things we "dream" of happening someday, and when known, what would be required to bring it to pass:

     1.  NO MORE CANCER!!!! Required - prayer, funding/donations to cancer research.

     2.  Serve women affected by ALL types of cancer. Required - women who have experienced other forms of cancer stepping forward and contacting us, and being willing to step into that gap - through relaying information & experiences, volunteering, etc.

     3.  Physical location for DORCAS Project, Inc. - could provide on-site assistance, internet access & research, wigs/hats, gift gallery (including local artist-created gifts), workshops on site, "prayer closet", support group meetings, nutrition assistance, volunteer training, celebration parties/events, etc. Required - funding/donations sufficient to cover all expenses, including paid staff (full- or part-time).

If you wish to make a tax-deductible donation to DORCAS Project, Inc., please send it to P.O. Box 643, Perkins, OK 74059. Be sure to include your name and address so we can send you a receipt. If your gift is in memory of someone please let us know that as well. Donations can be made in a variety of ways: one-time cash donations, monthly pledge donations, like-kind donations of items to be sold or auctioned, and through our various fundraising efforts through-out the year. Hopefully before long we will have the capability of offering a secure payment link where you can make donations online; until that goal is realized, however, donations can be mailed or call us and we will gladly arrange to meet you to pick up like-kind donations.
